You can play this build in Overland or Dungeons normal and veteran. I also made sure to give you a few gear choices below because it is not always easy to get the right gear in ESO. Sorcerers have a pretty easy time compared to other classes soloing stuff because you have pretty big shields and good self healing plus a pet that can also tank enemies. I have chosen a double shock destruction staff setup with this build because it is easier to set enemies off balance and you can also get some splash damage on shock heavy attacks.

With shock heavy attacks you can also regain resources easier because it is easier to keep the attack focused on a mob due to the channeled attack. If you prefer a fire staff, go for it. Once again, make sure to use the Iceheart Monster Set, it really makes a huge difference in terms of defense, it procs very easily and gives you a huge shield that absorbs a lot of damage.

It would be preferable if you get the gear with divine trait, but you can also use any other trait, you will not loose that much power. And non divine gear pieces are usually very cheap to buy. You can either farm or buy Necropotence and Mother's Sorrow for pretty cheap prices if you do not pick the best in slot trait.

More important is that you just get the full sets together as fast as possible, even if you do not have the best traits. The main goal of the build is to keep up all the DoTs, your Shield and Healing skill, that way you always have constant damage and you are shielded all the time which means the enemy can not touch your health. And the self healing will bring you back up in case you ever drop low on health.

In case you need help distributing your Champion Points, make sure to check out the Champion Points Calculator! This Tri Stat buff food can be bought in the store and is very cheap. The reason we are using this on our first setup is because then we can use more stamina to dodge roll and block enemy attacks.

All magicka based classes work but you might want to make some small adjustments. Important: Make sure to get alchemy to level 50 to unlock the Medicinal Use passive. Resource management with a solo build is slightly different compared to a group setup because you can not really rely on your healer to give you resources.

Now that does not really matter because we have other means of restoring resources.

Your main tool of restoring resources is your heavy attacks, they are pretty slow but you will regain so much resources. You can also use your potions on cooldown that will return a lot of extra resources. Elemental Drain is a key ability to increase your sustain and damage in a fight, make sure to keep it up all the times! For this kind of setup there is not a fixed rotation at all, your main goal should always be to stay alive and you do that by keeping up your shield and healing abilities.

Your number one priority is to always keep up Ritual of Retribution and use Puncturing Sweep to keep healing yourself. Once that is ensured, reapply your damage over time effects. If you want a general rotation so your damage over time effects do not fall off:. The number one reason players die is when they are too busy reapplying their damage over time effects and forget to use Puncturing Sweep or Ritual of Retributionbecause these two abilities are your main healing skills.

You can always activate Harness Magicka to bolster damage when you drop low, by the time your shield is gone, you will be healed back up to max health. Also make sure to block heavy attacks or dodge roll them as they do a lot of damage. Iceheart also often helps to soften the blow on your health in case you forget to use healing abilities.

While Iceheart is active and you use healing abilities, you will almost always get back to full health! A lot of players usually do run around with too little health, I would at least recommend having between k health. That way you are safe even if you are doing some mistakes!

I love ESO's extreme build customizability, and I'd love to create a character that is basically immortal in PvE: unkillable, and the winning strategy is to wait for my opponents to die of either boredom or old age.

What classes and builds can achieve this? The litmus test is the ability to solo same-level group dungeons. Thanks in advance! Check out my "Electric Turtle" build for Sorcs. I'm sure this strategy could be adapted for any class.

Be advised extremely "tanky" regen builds are only really good for solo PVE. I don't have much trouble soloing normal mode group dungeons with this build at VR14, and I've made significant progress with the veteran mode dungeons. Good luck on your quest for immortality! March That is awesome!

Edited by quantumdreamer on March 22, PM. I personally use a high regen build myself, though in group content i have little trouble with it since i function as the group healer, rather than as a DPS.

I'm a Templar Argonian. Fighting bar 1h and shield - Puncturing Sweep. Ultimate: Practiced Incarnation. Ritual of Rebirth might sound bad as a healing skill, but with the amount of regen i have i can generate enough ultimate during a fight to use Practiced incarnation before my magicka runs out by spamming Ritual of Rebirth.

When everything goes wrong you can just block and use Honor the dead to keep everyone alive until your team has taken the heat off of you. Fizzlewizzlethanks for the reply! Do you know if your build is able to solo group dungeons? I'm guessing yes, since you mentioned that you're able to stand in an enemy group without dying; however, are you able to DPS during that time, to eventually reach a victory? It would be interesting to see if a Light Armor build, spamming one of the shields, could achieve the same level of survivability as a Heavy Armor build.

The only thing that can kill you with this, is an attack that takes all your health at once, so just make sure you have enough health points to survive single-hit dungeon boss attacks. Edited by Zsymon on March 22, PM.

Immortality in PvE? Which builds are able to solo group dungeons?

Review our Cookie Policy for more information about our use of cookies. Privacy Policy. The Elder Scrolls Online features a host of dangerous dungeons for you and your comrades to explore. Check out this guide to how dungeons work in ESO. In The Elder Scrolls Onlinedungeons are four-player activities that require teamwork and coordination to complete and offer unique rewards not found anywhere else within the game.

We say generally because while it is advisable to have a team made up of these core roles, it is possible to complete some dungeons with a more varied group, depending on the levels and skills of the players in question.

It is even possible to complete a dungeon solo! Dungeons in ESO feature large groups of enemies that are tougher to defeat than those typically found in overland content along with multiple bosses. Bosses in dungeons represent unique challenges, as they often feature special mechanics that need to be managed by the whole group. In dungeons, each boss typically drops a unique set item with there being three unique sets per dungeon and other rewards that can't be found anywhere else.

Each dungeon usually has a quest and achievements associated with it that reward you with a Skill Point, too. Most zones in ESO have at least one dungeon, and some dungeons even have more than one version! Some dungeons are more difficult than others, depending on several factors. For example, dungeons in the early zones such as Fungal Grotto in Stonefalls can be completed by a relatively low level, inexperienced group.

Note that while you can walk into a dungeon at any level, we recommend you reach level 10 before starting dungeon content. Later dungeons tend to be more difficult, with this being especially true of the dungeons found in the DLC game packs such as Shadows of the Hist or Imperial City.

In addition to this, many dungeons also have a second version that continues that dungeon's story and features new monsters, new bosses, and higher difficulty. For a greater challenge, each dungeon can also be completed in veteran mode. Veteran mode is unlocked once you reach level 50 and increases the difficulty for the group by making the mobs and bosses even tougher. In turn, veteran mode dungeon runs reward players with better quality gear and unique achievements and collectibles.

You can also specify normal or veteran versions of a dungeon when queuing. Finally, when taking on a veteran dungeon, you can attempt to beat the final boss on hard mode.
